cycling news / Leopard Pro Cycling ready to start 2017 campaign

Last Sunday, Luxembourgish UCI Continental Team Leopard Pro Cycling presented itself together with clothing partner Decca at the Velofollies fair in Kortrijk, Belgium. With a refreshed look, the team starts its 2017 season with fresh motivation.

At the booth of clothing partner Decca, the new outfit of Leopard Pro Cycling was presented to the visitors of the Velofollies fair, after which they were able to attend the team presentation. Now, the Leopard Pro Cycling team will head to the team training camp in Mallorca, mid-February. On the Balearic Island, the team will work on the last details to have a good foundation for the first races of the season that are approaching at a quick rate.

On the 1st of March, the first race of the season is on the menu. Leopard Pro Cycling will participate in the highly rated Le Samyn in Belgium, where the team had its very first victory back in 2011. A few days later, the riders will split up as one part of the team will compete at the Grand Prix de la Ville de Lillers in France, whilst the second part heads to Greece to compete in both the International Rhodes Grand Prix and the three-day International Tour of Rhodes. A good start of the season will be essential for the morale in the team, as two of the season highlights are not far off with the Tour de Normandie and the Triptyque des Monts et Châteaux in late March, early April.

Markus Zingen (Team Manager): “Already at our first team meeting in December, we had a good time and could build a nice group with the old team members and the new arrivals. The guys worked hard during the winter and at the Mallorca team training camp, we really want to get race ready. In the end, all the hard work only counts when you have pinned a number on your back. For that, everybody is working hard, to show active racing and gain results. We are all looking forward to a successful season.”
