Joan Mir and Livio Loi travel to Germany for the ninth round of the 2017 World Championship, last race before the summer break.

The 2017 World Championship continues to thrill, The next Grand Prix in Germany represents the ninth race of the 18 scheduled on the calendar. Hosting the event will once again be the Sachsenring circuit. Built in 1996, it hosted Grand Prix competition for the first time in 1998, before the layout was revised in 2001. With 3.7 km (divided into 10 left hand corners and a meagre three rights) it is the shortest circuit of the championship.

A few days after the defeat in Assen at the last corner, Joan Mir appears in Germany with the knife between his teeth. The Moto3 class leader is fully aware of his skills and is determined for make up for the small mistake in The Netherlands and prove without doubt that he is the king of Moto3 at the ‘Ring.

In search of some more points is his teammate Livio Loi, ending far from first place in his ‘home’ race in Holland. Hasselt’s 20-year-old’s last year succeeded in cutting the finish line in the points. In Germany he came from 19th place to fight at the front and has a great desire for revenge!

In 2015, Danny Kent achieved an extraordinary result on this track, taking the hat-trick (pole position, fastest lap and victory) that projected him to the Moto3 title at the end of the season.
