moto3 / Leopard Racing Team head for Le Mans

Joan Mir and Livio Loi are determined to reap the rewards of their commitment and work in the Moto3 class at the Bugatti Circuit for the Grand Prix of France.

The World Championship enters its fifth round of 2017 as the paddock arrives at Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans. The track, built in 1965 and located about 200km south-east of Paris, is known to the public for the numerous endurance races.

Le Mans is not an easy track to deal with, and is characterized by heavy braking and hard acceleration. The 4.2 km long circuit winds through five left and nine right hand corners with a straight of 900m. The Leopard Racing Team is in France and determined to achieve good results on their Honda NSF250RW.

Joan Mir enters the Grand Prix de France with the aim of gathering as many points as possible and consolidating his lead in the Moto3 class. The talent of Palma de Mallorca will have to keep an eye on his rivals, many who are particularly comfortable on this track. Mir stands as one of just four riders to score points in all the opening Moto3 races in 2017.

Livio Loi arrives in France with the sole aim of collecting the results he missed in the previous round in Jerez. In 2016, the Hasselt born 20-year-old began and finished in 11th position (just like his race number), but this year he’s after more important results, prepared to fight with the best in the Moto3 class.

Can the two protagonists show their true potential? Sunday morning holds the answer …
