moto3 / Leopard Racing trio set to discover Malaysia

The three standard-bearers of the Moto3 class are prepared to tackle the 5.5 km of the Sepang International Circuit.

The Moto3 World Championship tackles the last leg of the triple header in Asia. Since 1999 the Sepang International Circuit has been continuously hosting the event with its 5.5 Km track, divided between 5 left turns and 10 to the right.

The Leopard Racing team starts with renewed vigour from the second place of Andrea Locatelli in Phillip Island. For the 20 year old Selvino, this was the second podium of his career after his first in July at Sachsenring and faces the race this weekend brimming with enthusiasm.

For his teammates, Fabio Quartararo and Joan Mir, the Malaysian Grand Prix is a real novelty, having never raced on this track. The French rider is benefitted by the excellent Australian GP, where he qualified on front row and made himself the author of a good recovery after the penalty on Saturday evening. The Nice talent has missed the podium on many occasions this year: Sepang may finally be “his” track.

With two races to go, and with the South African Brad Binder already Champion, Rookie-of-the-Year remains as the only title up for grabs, a competition that has suffered a setback in the last round to the “zero” recorded by the three main players: Bulega, Di Giannantonio and Joan Mir. The Mallorca pilot will give 100% to redeem himself and show his talent between the curves and the straights of the Malaysian circuit.
