moto3 / Lorenzo Dalla Porta with Leopard Racing Team for 2018
The Italian rider completes the line up that the Leopard Racing Team will deploy in the next Moto3 season.
The last space for the 2018 season in the Leopard Racing Team is completed. Today the agreement with Lorenzo Dalla Porta, the 20-year-old of Prato (Italy) is officially signed for next year, where he will ride the Honda NSF250RW alongside teammate Enea Bastianini.
Lorenzo lands in the orbit of the Leopard Racing Team with a respectable resume: in the last season the Tuscan became the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 Junior champion, with four wins.
In 2015 he made his debut in the Moto3 World Championship with the Husqvarna team and in his third race at Silverstone, he landed an extremely impressive 8th position. Currently the young Italian talent is running on the Mahindra MGP3O of the Aspar Team.
Miodrag KOTUR, COO Leopard Racing:
“We are delighted to announce the second rider for next season: Lorenzo is a very good driver, he has been a Champion in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 Championship in 2016 right against our team and his talent has not gone unnoticed. We are sure he will do well and will be immediately competitive. I also take this opportunity to thank Joan and Livio for the work they have done this season and wish him the best for their future.”
Lorenzo DALLA PORTA, rider:
“I’m happy to have signed up for the Leopard Racing Team. As a former adversary, I have always had a great appreciation for their skills as a team and I feel I can remain at the top of the category. I will do my best and I hope to be able to repay the confidence they have put in me by taking great results on their behalf.”
