moto3 / Lundberg: “The goal is to enter the fight at the top”
Leopard Racing’s technical director assess the Mugello weekend where Quartararo and Mir featured as leading protagonists.
The Leopard Racing team left the Mugello circuit with even greater motivation: the Tuscan track, on which the team remained at on Monday for a test (although unfortunately hit by rain and wind), provided more positive feedback.
Quartararo made an extraordinary comeback from 18th place and Mir was able to assert himself inside the tussle of the top ten. Results aside, it is clear that the direction taken is the right one:
“After the race at Le Mans, where we got a good consensus from the riders about the setting, we continued to work in the same direction and tried to adapt the bike to the Mugello features. The riders were happy with the bike and it seems that their adaptation is progressing with every race.
We have to thank the WP technicians for providing us with new suspension settings that give something extra with the geometry our riders prefer and thanks to KTM for strong a performance in 2016. We hope we can further improve the engine by working hard together. The goal is to continue like this and to be able to enter the fight at the top.”
