moto3 / Lundberg: “We are competitive everywhere”

Leopard Racing’s technical director evaluated the Jerez weekend that saw Mir take third, maintaining his Championship lead. The Leopard Racing team left Andalusia with even greater motivation:

“We are delighted with Sunday’s result because it is a very long season and after four races, to be on the podium three times and being in the lead of the world championship is a great achievement. The strategy we adopted had proved to be a winning one until a few corners from the end. Joan Mir spent the race looking to figure out where he could pass, and in the last lap he was able to move to the head of the group but unfortunately a little mistake cost us.

We are competitive everywhere, which reassures us a lot for the continuation of the season. Now we go to Le Mans, a track we have not run at a lot and one of the favourite tracks of our rivals (such as Fenati and Canet) so we will have to be careful to collect as many points as possible. Then in the second part of the season we will try to keep our consistency and attack on the all the track which are more favourable to us.”
