moto3 / Mir leads the field to Argentina
After a stunning victory in the first race of the season in Qatar, the Leopard Racing Team is getting ready for the Grand Prix of Argentina with high morale and the confidence to forge a great result.
Leaving behind Qatar, the MotoGP World Championship will change continent for the second round of 2017. This weekend the series will race the Grand Prix de la Republica Argentina. The event will be located in the Termas de Rio Hondo, a charming track of 4.8 with 5 left-handers and nine rights.
The Leopard Racing Team is preparing to meet the challenge with high morale and the confidence to make a great result. Both Joan Mir and Livio Loi know the track well, having collected some good results on the circuit, located in Santiago del Estero.
Joan Mir heads to round two as the championship leader thanks to his extraordinary victory at the first race of the season at Losail. Last year, his first experience on the track, saw the Spanish rider in the top five behind then-teammate Andrea Locatelli.
His new current-teammate Livio Loi did well to Termas de Rio Hondo, close to the podium in 2014; the Belgian is in Argentina in search of redemption after the 12th place in Qatar, aware that he can run with the best in field.
