moto3 / Mir & Loi land in Sepang

After their extraordinary double podium on Sunday at Phillip Island, the two teammates of the Leopard Racing Team are ready to face the last stage of the triple Asian trip.

After his triumph in Australia clinched him the 2017 World Championship, Joan Mir and Livio Loi, who gave the Leopard Racing Team an extraordinary double (the third of the young structure’s history), prepare to complete the Asian rounds. They now land in Malaysia for the seventeenth stage of the season. The event is as always hosted at the Sepang International Circuit, which since 1999 has uninterruptedly hosted the Malaysian Grand Prix and runs up for 5.5km with three long straights between five left hand turns and 10 to the right.

Mallorca’s talent, whose name was written into the history of modern motorcycling with his championship and his achievements, (nine wins in a season, a previously unachieved feat in the Moto3 class) comes to Sepang with a new level of calm and is simply intending to have fun riding his Honda NSF250RW now that the title is already in his pocket. His team-mate Livio Loi faces this weekend with renewed enthusiasm to end the season at his best (after being forced to stop due to injury) and confirm all his potential between the curves and straight lines of the Malaysian track.
