moto3 / Mir’s Numbers (…Part II)

We have updated the records and analyzed some of Mir achievements on the eve of his World Moto3 2017 Championship push.

Joan Mir ‘s score in 14 races so far. No one in Moto3 has also obtained such a figure at this point of the season, four races from the end.

80:
the advantage on his rivals. Never in 2017 has the gap been so large between championship rivals.

15:
the number of consecutive races where Joan Mir has finished in the points, from the last race of the 2016 season. The Majorcan is the only rider of all three World Championship categories to have always finished in points in each of the 14 events in 2017.

12+1:
His podiums overall. The Palma de Mallorca talent has had 33 races in the Moto3 class, with a 33% efficiency rating. In this 2017, the podiums for Mir are already 10. The season podium record belongs to Cortese (2012) and Vinales (2013), both at 15.

8:
the victories won by Miracle Mir (so far) in 2017. The Spaniard writes a new page of history for the Moto3 class: never has any rider in the category, set up in 2012, won this amount of races in the same season.

2:
the top races between two wins in Joan Mir’s score. One of them always with at least 1 podium at stake.

1st:
the position in the standings since the beginning of the season. Joan Mir has always occupied the top spot in the rankings, despite the efforts of his rivals.
