moto2 / Oliveira back on track to graduate at leading rookie

At his last race with the Leopard Racing team and after an absence forced by injury, the Portuguese rider is ready to hit the track in the last race of the season in Valencia, on course to end as the Rookie of the Year.

The stage is set for the last act of the 2016 Moto2 World Championship. Now the circus will visit the Ricardo Tormo circuit at Cheste for the Grand Prix Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana, the traditional end point to the year. The 4 km circuit runs counter clockwise and features nine corners to the left and five to the right.

The Valencia round will also represent the last appearance of Miguel Oliveira in the colours of the Leopard Racing team. After his forced absence in four races due to the injury to his collarbone, the talent of Pragal will be back on track and out to win the Rookie of the Year title.

Only 1 point separates him from Luca Marini. But past form is on the side of Oliveira who took victory at the Spanish track last year. Unfortunately for him, the Moto3 World Champion escaped him and went to his current partner team Danny Kent but Oliveira will certainly be one to watch.

Danny Kent arrives at the place where 12 months ago he took his championship. Valencia is also where he took his second career victory in 2012. He arrives with the grit and determination to end the bad luck that has dogged him in recent races and is looking to close in the 2016 season inbest way possible before jumping aboard the new Suter.
