moto3 / The Leopard Racing Team head to Aragon with one goal in mind

After second place at a near-flooded Misano, the leader of the Moto3 class, Joan Mir, arrives at his favourite circuit: MotorLand Aragon… and with a special surprise for his fans!
With Livio Loi forced to miss the round due to his injury, the second Leopard Racing machine will be entrusted to Aaron Polanco, currently racing in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 Junior World Championship with the Leopard Junior Team.

The Moto3 World Championship returns to Spanish soil for the third of four times in 2017, this weekend at the Aragon Grand Prix. The venue will be the ultra-modern MotorLand, which runs for 5.1 km through 17 curves and was designed by German architect Hermann Tilke.

Livio Loi will remain in Belgium and will be forced to watch on TV as he continues to recover. Since the events of the San Marino Qualifying session, Livio Loi has had surgery to plate the collarbone and will stay in Belgium. In his place, Aaron Polanco, the 22-year-old of Almussafes (Spain), will ride with n#37 on his bike. He is currently in the Leopard Junior Team in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 Junior World Championship.

All eyes are on Joan Mir, the undisputed protagonist of the 2017 season, dominating with seven wins and the only rider across all three classes to finish every race in points. Palma de Majorca’s talent, fresh from a precious second place under Misano’s downpour, comes to his favorite circuit with strong motivations.

Last year, in his rookie season, a high fever struck him on the eve of the Grand Prix, affecting his performance in practice and Qualifying. But in the race the Majorcan performed at his finest, in true #miracleMIR style, earning a solid Top 5 after being as low as 24th position!

For the occasion, Joan is determined to run in front of his home crowd, repaying the affection and support of his fans with a special surprise. What is it? Find out in the upcoming hours on @Leopard_Moto’s official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages!
